Edrington is a prominent Scottish company with roots dating back to the 19th century in Glasgow. Founded in 1861 by William Robertson, it began as a blending and bottling business. Over time, it has expanded into one of the UK's leading whisky producers, with iconic brands like the Macallan, Highland Park, and the Famous Grouse. Their headquarters are situated in Glasgow and remain dedicated to crafting spirit brands of the highest quality.
As well as some iconic brands mentioned above, Edrington also works with brands like The Glenrothes, Brugal Rum, No3 London Dry Gin and Bowmore, to name a few. Click the link below to read more about their brands.

The brand has a strong commitment to sustainability by working towards reaching Net Zero by 2045. They have created a Sustainability and Responsibility framework to set their priorities and measure their success. The framework includes 4 strategies: protect our environment, promote our brands responsibly, help our people thrive and give more to the communities in which we live and work. It is really refreshing to see a big company like Edrington have sustainability as a core priority, allowing smaller businesses/distilleries to follow suit to become a more sustainable industry in the modern world where eco-conscious consumers are increasing.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit Edrington in March this year at their headquarters situated in Glasgow. At the beginning of the second semester of my second year, I was selected to represent Strathclyde Business School for the STAR Marketing Awards. This brings together the best marketing talent in Scotland, with students from various universities and colleges collaborating to develop a campaign. We were tasked with the challenge of creating a marketing campaign for Brugal 1888. It was an insightful and exciting opportunity to meet and collaborate with like-minded students like myself! It was also great to be a part of the winning team and win a bottle of rum to try at home!
